September 6 – 10: Oakland Pride Lineup at White Horse Bar! 🌈

Come to White Horse Bar in North Oakland for an exciting week of Oakland Pride events. Start with karaoke on Tuesday and drag by Rebel Kings of Oakland on Wednesday. On Thursdays feature QUEER AS F#CK with Afrobeat, reggaeton, house and throwback music.

Don’t miss the energetic Sweetspot’s LVRGRL on Friday, September 8th, followed by the Beyonce vs Rihanna showdown “VERSUS” on Saturday, September 9th, presented by DJs Olga T & Femme Papi and hosted by Jeremy Jones. To wrap up the weekend on Sunday, September 10th, The Rhythm with David Harness welcomes special guest Nina Sol for an unforgettable night of house music.

September 7: Community is the Cure

Come together at “Community is the Cure” – the QUEST: A Journey to Wellness Podcast Sober Benefit on September7 from 5:00pm to 11:00 pm at El Afters, 184 10th Street Oakland, CA 94607. 

This event kick-starts Oakland Pride and supports the beloved QUEST podcast, focusing on radical acceptance and empowerment within the queer and trans community. Experience a vendor market by Gemini Moon Botanicals and hear transformative wellness journeys from guest speakers like Luca Yacon, Sie Savage Chambers, Bex Mui, and Mercedes Gibson.

Savour non-alcoholic drinks from Daddy Dreams and dance to the beats of Shanna Holmes, setting the stage for Oakland Pride. 

The suggested donation is $10-15 (sliding scale) at the door, with all proceeds benefiting the 🎙️QUEST podcast.

September 8: Passionfruit Dance Party & The Klituation Presents: An Oakland Pride Party!

Kicking things off on September 8th is Passionfruit Queer Dance Party, teaming up with The Klituation for a night to rememeber at The New Parish in Oakland. The energy will be off the charts with a stacked lineup of DJs including Dreams, SirIbo510, Ashmar, and DJ Keezy. And that’s not all – prepare for a pop-up by The Wholesome Heaux and hosting by the one and only Fela Kutchii. Let loose, dance like no one’s watching, and celebrate the pride and joy of Oakland.

September 8: We Run This!!! – A Community-Led Block Party

Looking for something a little bit off the beaten path? Catch WE RUN THIS, a community-led Oakland Pride Block Party benefitting queer drag artists, DJs, performers and small businesses.  rom a vibrant Queer vendor market hosted by Gemini Moon Botanicals to electrifying drag shows by Oaklash, the joy will be palpable in every beat and step. Plus, don’t miss out on this grand opening event by Nectar Social Club.

September 9: FairyProud Pride Night

Gear up for a sparking adventure on September 9th at Children’s Fairyland at FairyProud Pride Night. This exclusive adults-only event hosted in collaboration with Oaklash and Oakland Black Pride, guarantees an evening of enchantment and queer magic. 

Imagine DJs, dancing, beer, wine, a signature cocktails from Feelmore Social, food trucks, and dazzling performances all in one place. From Lisa Frankenstein’s spellbinding show on Jack & Jill Hill to Kakfa X & Piranha’s mesmerizing performance at the Emerald City, the entertainment will be spectacular. 

Your host for the night, the fabulous KaiKai Bee Michaels, will infuse an Old West flair into the celebration. Don’t miss out on exploring the Queer Vendor Village and the Outdoor Art Gallery presented by Oakland Black Pride. September 9: Queer Magic Bay: Oakland Pride Celebration

Join Queer Magic Bay on September 9th from 4:00 – 9:00pm for an Oakland Pride celebration at Temescal Brewing. Turn the dance floor into a haven of joy and liberation, celebrating our diverse queer community. Experience electrifying sets by Chico Chi and La Femme Papi will infuse the dance floor with Virgo season beats that will set the night on fire! Connect during the Queer Meet from 5:00pm – 6:00pm on the back patio for speed mixing, forging new friendships and expanding your circle.

September 9: Queer First Fridays’ Oakland Pride Party 2023

The celebration continues on September 9th, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with Queer First Fridays’ Oakland Pride Party at NIDO’s BackYard. With live music, DJs, dancing, food, drinks, and a captivating drag show, this event is a true testament to the spirit of pride and community. Featuring DJ Miss Catastrophe, The Haus of Revlon, The Peach Fuzz, The Golden Girls, and more, the lineup is stacked to keep the energy high. 

Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online via Eventbrite.

September 9-10: Unusual Events: Queer Pride Oakland 2023

Get ready for an electrifying experience at Unusual Events: Queer Pride Oakland 2023 on September 9th and 10th. Presented by The Unusual Event in collaboration with Born To Rave Forever, this unforgettable celebration offers three exciting segments to choose from.

Start with LGBTQ+ Saturday, 18+ only, from 4:00pm to 8:30pm. Enjoy a queer mixer, a vibrant vendor market, and top DJs like Ritchrd, Kris, Lil Zé, and Sasha

Sapphic Saturday, 21+ only, runs from 9:00pm – 4:00am. Experience pro dancers, dungeon doms, and sapphic DJs including Grompi Green, Airali, Del, and more.

QTPOC Sunday, 21+ only, is from 7:00pm to 3:00am. Pro dancers, dungeon doms, and QTPOC DJs like Apollo and Charles Hawthorne await.

September 9-10: The Heart of Oakland Pride

Get ready for an exhilarating weekend at Oakland Pride 2023 which just might be the main event. On Saturday, September 9th, a diverse array of events await the LGBTQ+ community and allies, promising a day filled with unity and celebration.

Then, mark your calendars for Sunday, September 10th – the excitement kicks off at 11:00 am with the annual Oakland Pride Parade, a vibrant procession in Downtown Oakland down Broadway from 14th to 21st. The best part? It’s absolutely free for the public! Following the parade, from noon to 6:00 pm, immerse yourself in the heart of the Oakland Pride Festival + Celebration.

Festival tickets are affordable and inclusive: $20 for adults, $15 for seniors (65+), $10 for children aged 12-18, and children under 12 get in for free.

September 10: Oakland Pride Latin Stage + Party

Check out the Oakland Pride Latin Stage + Party, hosted by QUE RICO NIGHTCLUB and CLUB PAPI. Presented by Valentino Presents, this 6-hour event on Sunday, September 10th from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm PDT at 17th and Franklin Street in Oakland, CA promises an unforgettable experience.
