Queer Black Artist Imerald Brown has released a new single, “We’re Not Good.” And we’re big fans.
We caught up with Imerald (she / her) to learn a little more about the inspiration for her newest track.
“We’re Not Good Is a track about entertaining an old relationship while in a committed relationship,” says Imerald. “Even going so far as to meet up with an old flame over dinner even though they are engaged. Reminiscing sparks once forgotten emotions. It’s a tough situation to be in and both exes know that they would’ve be a good fit because of how untrue they both are, they ultimately wouldn’t trust each other because they don’t trust themselves to do the right thing.”
That sneaky link. We’ve all been somewhere like there before (and we might be there again one day!).
